Here are a few of our past customers' comments:

Great place to rent for group for weddings or for a long weekend with friends - both bunk rooms and private rooms. New and clean toilets and showers, beautiful full kitchen to do your own cooking, right next to the big river with river views, lots of trails in the hills a few km in the Tararua Forest Park. I've stayed there a few times now, and it's a great get away and well maintained property and really friendly hosts. A gem in the Wairarapa.

The property was incredible! We were blown away by its quality. Would definitely stay here again, or recommend it to anyone at all.

So close to Wellington in the perfect rural setting with all the luxury in a very nice modern spacious house. Great time outdoors thanks to the good weather, enough time to meet all the friendly farm animals. The kids and the whole group just loved every minute of our stay.

We hired Thrive for a small team offsite event and couldn't have been happier with our choice. We wanted somewhere peaceful, relaxing and homely. Thrive ticked all those boxes. The large, well equipped kitchen allowed us to self cater easily, the media room was great for presentations, the large lounge for casual sessions & a good sized dining table was available to get the 9 of us around. The beautiful location instantly relaxed us & we made the most of it with an evening bonfire!

If you are looking for an awesome house for a weekend away with a large group of adults and kids this is a perfect place. We stayed at the weekend for a mid-winter xmas feast. 4 proper double rooms so no one misses out - two are ensuite. And heaps of showers and bathrooms as well as a few bunkrooms. Huge screen and projector for movies or the rugby. Fantastic DOC walking tracks near by and some good running partners if you fancy a jog with Ash, Lilla and Scout.

Modern and spacious, with a great kitchen, common room, and home theater. Four large bedrooms, plus bunk rooms for larger groups. The setting is fantastic, right on the Waiohine River. Kid and pet friendly, with chickens, pigs, and sometimes horses. Close to incredible bush tracks leading into the Tararua mountains. The owners (Ash and Lilla) are keen trampers and runners, and they are really fun and friendly hosts.

I stayed here recently, and what a wonderful venue it is! Very comfortable, and great facilities. Bunk rooms downstairs and bedrooms upstairs. The kitchen is very well equipped, and there is a media room too. I will definitely be back!

Beautiful house and surroundings. Far enough from the main roads to feel like you've escaped but close enough that you don’t have to drive for hours. Beautiful peaceful surroundings - perfect for an escape for either a few people or equally spacious to comfortably fit large groups - would highly recommend.

Awesome property, beautiful rural location with views to die for. Even rainy weather couldn't put a damper on our long weekend retreat. Fully equipped for everything and anything we wanted for nothing. thanks a million we will definitely look at booking your property again.

The major appeal of the property was it's scenic rural location close to Wellington and the ability to accommodate a large group. The lodge is very well presented on tidy grounds and very comfortable throughout. 'Thrive' ticked all the box's as a great place to entertain kids and friends for an entire weekend. We were blessed with perfect weather and the river nearby was calm and a great place to swim and explore and relax by the fire pit come evening! We all look forward to returning soon.

Beautiful neck of the woods, with farmyard animals, great for the whole family.

The house is in a beautiful setting with plenty of space and modern amenities. The house has everything you need for a large group. It was clean and tidy with a fire going when we arrived. Wish we could have stayed longer!

A wonderful secluded getaway just an hour and a half from Wellington. Thrive accommodated our three families easily. Its modern and comfortable and there is lots to do - from horse riding and tramping to just chilling on the deck in the sun or doing a jigsaw.
